Wuthering Waves 3.7: Hsin, Suoming, codes and every event in Prism’s Illusion, Heart’s Illumination
Wuthering Waves 3.7 is live from September 30 to November 11, 2026, with Hsin (5★ Electro Rectifier) on banner now and Suoming (5★ Electro Sword) from October 22. This breakdown follows GodDoggosWuwa’s recap of the September 19 preview stream, frame by frame, and checks every name and date against the live patch.

Wuthering Waves news, livestream breakdowns and guides, a new video every two days.
GodDoggos packed the whole stream into nine minutes and forty seconds: codes first, then the trailer, the new area, Hsin, Suoming, banners, events and optimisations. That order works for players, so this page follows it. The stream aired eleven days before release, so the parts it left open, like how Unison actually works and the sonata numbers, are filled in below from the version that went live on September 30. Anything that is GodDoggos’ reading rather than what Kuro showed is credited to GodDoggos by name.
Version 3.7 at a glance
Maintenance ran from 04:00 to 11:00 UTC+8 on September 30. The times below are when the servers came back, not when the download appeared.
Wuthering Waves 3.7 livestream codes
GodDoggos opens with the codes, and rightly so: preview-stream codes have the shortest life of any code in the game. The three shown on September 19 were FALLINGSANCTUM, FINDSENTINEL and WAKINGMOON, at 100 Astrite each.

All three closed on September 21 at 08:59 PT, nine days before 3.7 went live. Kuro published no new codes with the version itself, so as of October 2 the only working code is WUTHERINGGIFT, the permanent one. Any “3.7 codes” list that offers more is recycling these three. Our codes page shows the date it was last checked. The next batch will almost certainly come with the 3.8 preview stream, around five weeks out.
Main quest and story: Chapter IV Act IV
The trailer at the top of the stream sets up the patch’s story: Rover searches for Hsin, the Sentinel of Xuanfang, and Suoming goes with them. GodDoggos keeps the cutscenes short to avoid spoilers, and so does this page. Kuro’s own card gives the name: Chapter IV Act IV, Simulacrum of the Heart, the act that closes the Xuanfang arc in Mengzhou.

Look at the rewards strip on that card. The last two icons carry a small motorbike tag, and the stream’s caption named the first of them, the Expedition Motorbike livery “Return of Longing Heart”, as a reward for finishing the main quest. GodDoggos’ verdict on a bike skin at the end of a story act: “awesome, I guess.” The second livery comes from the Tales Quest, covered further down.
The Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou
The new area is the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, the control mainframe of Xuanfang Hold. GodDoggos calls it ethereal, and the footage agrees: Chinese pavilions under autumn trees, a giant ring hanging over the central plaza, and Hsin’s silhouette in the clouds above it all.

Inside the Nexus you will find the Heartscape Labyrinth, six Heart realms (Flames, Frost, Bloom, Stillness, Ruin and Appearance), two new Tacet Fields and a Tacet Discord Nest. The stream also introduced a new traversal mechanic, Inner Threshold, labelled “Exploration Gameplay”: rooms of frozen panels where, in the stream’s words, “some move at incredible speed, while others remain in eternal silence.”

Chests, Tidal Heritages and puzzles are plotted on our Simulacrum Nexus interactive map. The area opens during the main quest, not before, so do Chapter IV Act IV first.
Blooms for the Shadow, the new permanent feature
Blooms for the Shadow is the long-term system of the patch, and it does not expire. Kuro’s card explains the idea: the Nexus Fox Shadow, the towering silhouette over the Nexus, is a manifestation of Hsin’s heart. It shapes the Heart Realms and is shaped by them.

In play, you collect three types of Thousandfold Petals around the Nexus and offer them at altars to raise each Heart Realm’s stability. The menu shows the three realms as fox heads, each with its own petal, and a stability track with milestones at 5,000, 12,200 and 22,000. Higher stability makes you stronger inside the Simulacrum Nexus.

Because it is permanent, GodDoggos calls it “definitely something worth doing in the long term”, and expects fun combat along the way. The full route and reward table are on the Blooms for the Shadow guide.
Tales Quest: Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing
3.7 adds a new quest category, Tales Quest, for character stories that sit outside the main quest. The first one is Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing, and the stream says it “whisks us back to the very beginning.” GodDoggos recommends it for two reasons: it adds story for the characters, so you understand them better, and it pays out.

The headline reward is a second Expedition Motorbike livery, Flute Song at Moonset, in white with black and lime trim. It is open from September 30 until the end of the version, and it is listed on the 3.7 event calendar with the main quest.

Hsin: kit, Resonance Modes and best build
GodDoggos calls Hsin “the fan favorite”, and her segment is the longest in the video. She is a 5★ Electro Rectifier, the first playable Sentinel, and a fox spirit with an expressive personality and a second, white-haired form in which, as GodDoggos puts it, “she just looks like a whole goddess.” Her card also lists her farm: Solidarity’s Loneflame, Bloom of Hearkening and Autopuppet Kernels for ascension, which matches the patch data.

How her combat loop works, from the footage. Her basic attacks are quick slashes with nine rings that circle her; the last hit of her Resonance Skill combo turns her into a small fox. Attacks fill her Forte. At full Forte, certain skills turn the gauge into a floating Xuanfang core. Her Resonance Liberation absorbs that core and switches her into the white-haired form, with a new moveset that refills the gauge. Fill it again and she launches consecutive attacks with buildings, then an enhanced Liberation that, as the stream puts it, has pavilions “rise and fall, colliding and collapsing.”

Her two Resonance Modes are the real news. In Electro Flare mode she builds Electro Flare stacks and detonates them in one blow at their peak. In Unison mode, “Hsin and allies move as one”: she attacks alongside her team and gets them on the field faster. On the day of the stream, GodDoggos read Unison as the more supportive option and waited for her profile before judging it. The patch confirms that reading. Unison feeds the team, and Electro Flare turns her teammates’ Electro Rage into her own damage.

For Electro Flare teams, GodDoggos’ first pick is Electro Rover, the other Electro Flare character in the game, and thinks Suoming may fit Hsin as well. Here is how she builds now that the numbers are out:
Without her signature, run Crit Rate on the 4-cost, because Blooming Jadehaven is where her Crit Rate comes from. The full kit text, all six chain nodes and alternative teams are on the Hsin build guide.
Suoming: the Unison partner
Suoming is a 5★ Electro Sword, and GodDoggos describes her as the more serious of the two, carrying “quite the massive pain or loss in her past.” Her card names her Forte, Power of Ten, and her farm: Forged Empyrean’s Sigh, Miasmic Branch and Howler Cores. These also match the patch data.

She fights with her umbrella, which is also her sword. Attacks build her Forte. At full Forte her Resonance Skill breaks the umbrella apart, and its ribs, canopy and handle each become a weapon. Her Liberation spins her into a hurricane with it, and after that she enters Unison mode, which triggers the Concerto effect of her allies. The stream also showed her damage carrying on after she is switched off.

On the day of the stream, GodDoggos only had a rumour that she would pair with Hsin, and said so. The patch has since confirmed it. Hsin and Suoming are the only two resonators who can trigger Unison Response, so each one turns the other’s Unison Boon into damage. Her Outro gives the incoming resonator 20% Electro DMG amplification, plus 25% Resonance Skill DMG amplification if they carry Unison Boon. Her signature, Unspoken Rue, has the same 588 ATK and 24.3% Crit Rate as Hsin’s. Both roles are built out on the Suoming build guide.
Wuthering Waves 3.7 banners
Two phases, two debuts, four reruns. Live countdowns are on the banners page.
- Hsin: Debut, 5★ Electro Rectifier, on As Full as Tonight, Forever
- Chisa: Rerun, on Horizon of Dawnbreak
- Iuno: Rerun, on Across Time’s Waxes and Wanes
Featured weapons: Blooming Jadehaven, Kumokiri, Moongazer’s Sigil
- Suoming: Debut, 5★ Electro Sword, on Nine Deaths, One Unbent Heart
- Lynae: Rerun
- Lucilla: Rerun
Featured weapons: Unspoken Rue

The stream announced Lynae’s rerun on her 3.5 banner art, Undefined Spectrum. GodDoggos was happy to see her back. Kuro has not yet named either Phase 2 rerun convene. Those names come with the Phase II notice a few days before October 22, and this page will be updated then.

All eleven 3.7 events
GodDoggos summed the event segment up as “the usual content that we see every version.” That is fair for the rewards, but not for the dates: one event closes two weeks before the version ends. The windows below are from the official patch notes.
Dreams in the Capsule unlocks when you reach the Simulacrum Nexus, and its card is the best summary of the area’s premise: every feeling in Mengzhou settles into a Heart Realm of its own.

Past Dreams, Traced Seals is the photo event, and it is permanent. Hsin asks Suoming to record the sights of the Nexus, and you go along. It pairs well with the new camera, covered below.

Echo Erase opens October 22 with Phase 2. It is a tapping game presented as a flagship release from Second Coming of Solaris, with chibi Suoming and Hsin on the art. Reward lists and walkthroughs for all eleven events are on the events page.

New echoes and sonata sets
The stream named three sonata sets but showed no numbers. GodDoggos noted that the details would come later on the official site, and the menu in the footage still showed placeholder text. Here are the 5-piece effects as they went live:

Five echoes are named in the patch notes: Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet and Jade Nether Serpent. The 4-cost slot in the stream’s set menu showed “???”, and a sixth, unnamed 4-cost does ship with them. Flower of Tinged Yearning is the one people overlook: it is a healer set, and its Unison clause means 3.7 supports scale with it in a way no earlier set allowed. Full pieces and drop locations are on the echoes database.
Optimisations and quality of life
Kuro closes every preview with optimisations, and GodDoggos goes through the ones that matter. Replay Mode now covers the main quests of Versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3, starting with “Thaw of Eons”, and includes the mini-games from those patches. That is good news if you joined late. Progress is saved when you exit, and items earned in Replay stay in Replay.

The camera has been rebuilt with handheld, selfie and drone modes, gesture and expression presets, reference lines, lens templates, and adjustable time and weather. GodDoggos expects great pictures from the community.

Team slots go up to 20, can be renamed and reordered, and can render the lineup in 3D. The 3D view is off by default and unavailable below 4 GB of RAM on iOS or 6 GB on Android.

Echo stacking is the change you will notice first. Unequipped, non-upgraded echoes with the same type, sonata and main stat now collapse into one item, up to 999. The stream’s before and after shows a bag going from 2,989 of 3,000 slots to 886. A locked echo and an unlocked one stack together as Locked. The Echo Recommendation screen also suggests a set per Resonance Mode now, which matters for Hsin.

GodDoggos’ pick for the biggest change is the tiered client resource download, and it is a fair pick: storage is a real problem for many players. On PC, the launcher offers UHD at 96.6 GB, HD at 77.8 GB (recommended) and SD at 58.3 GB. On iOS and Android, the choice is Full Resources at 58.6 GB or Basic Resources at 32.8 GB, in HD or SD. Kuro’s fine print matters here: it is a limited test, and the shipped version may differ.

Also in the patch but not in the stream: One-Way Conversion turns region ascension materials from Jinzhou through Mengzhou into Regenerative Pistils, and Vulkan support reaches Kirin 8000, several Dimensity chips and Exynos 1480.
What to prioritise in 3.7
Forty-two days is a long version, but two of its deadlines come early.
- 1Claim the mail. Astrite x600 and Crystal Solvent x2 are sitting there now.
- 2Do Artisan’s Search before October 26. It is the only event that closes with two weeks of the version left.
- 3Decide on Hsin before October 22. Her banner and her signature leave when Phase 2 opens, and she leads the Unison pair rather than being an optional half of it.
- 4Finish Chapter IV Act IV, then the Tales Quest. One opens the Nexus, the other adds character story. Both pay a motorbike livery.
- 5Start Blooms for the Shadow early. It is permanent, but the stability buffs make every other Nexus task easier.
Where Hsin and Suoming land against the rest of the roster is tracked on the tier list. Thanks again to GodDoggosWuwa, whose recap this page is built on. The channel posts Wuthering Waves news and guides every two days.
