How to unlock Tower of Adversity in Wuthering Waves, and what it pays
Reach Union Level 15, then complete the tutorial quest Alone in the Abyss: talk to Sanhua and clear one challenge inside the Tower. That is all the unlock takes. What most guides leave out is what comes next: only the Hazard Zone resets, every 28 days, for 800 Astrite a cycle, and the next resets fall on November 9, 2026 and December 7, 2026. The steps follow Streetwise Rhapsody’s walkthrough, with every screen checked.

How do you unlock Tower of Adversity?
Union Level 15, then the Alone in the Abyss tutorial quest. Your Union Level is in the Terminal, under your profile picture.
At 15, open Quests → Tutorial Quests and track Alone in the Abyss. Its rewards include 20 Astrite.
The quest sends you to Sanhua, who invites you into a confidential Huaxu Academy research project. The dialogue can be skipped.
The last step is Complete the test once: enter the Tower and clear any challenge. The game then confirms with “New Function Unlocked: Tower of Adversity”.

Which zones reset in Tower of Adversity?
Only the Hazard Zone. The rules panel says it in so many words: rewards in the Stable and Experiment Zones can be claimed once, while the Hazard Zone is periodically reset with new challenges and new rewards.

When does Tower of Adversity reset?
Every 28 days. The latest reset was October 12, 2026; the next ones:

A 42-day version holds one and a half cycles, which is why the per-version total counts about two full clears.
How much Astrite does Tower of Adversity give?
800 Astrite per Hazard Zone cycle at full stars, about 1,600 per version, plus materials and Shell Credits. That makes it the largest endgame source of Astrite, ahead of Whimpering Wastes and Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways. What are Vigor and Interference?
Vigor limits how often a resonator can fight; Interference changes the rules of a floor. Every challenge costs the resonators who enter it some Vigor, and the rules panel is blunt: once a resonator’s Vigor reaches zero, they can no longer participate in challenges. In practice a full clear needs two or three teams, not one.
Each floor shows its Interference effect, often a buff worth building around, and three star goals: clear it, clear it with 90 seconds left, clear it with 150 seconds left. Stars are what pay.
